Harajuku has a reputation as one of the fashion capitals of the world, and has gained some renown for it's particular style. Not far from the Harajuku metro stop is Jingu Bridge, leading to the Meiji Jingu shrine. I was told it's a happening spot for cosplayers and street performers, although there weren't too many to be found during my visit.
Then the shrine itself. Photos of the actual inside of the shrine are not permitted.
The above barrels of ceremonial wine were a gift from France.
Finally, I think I need to just post this clip I filmed from in front of a department store with as little explanation as possible.

Hello.
For anyone who may not know me too well, I am a 20 year old student from Muhlenberg college, spending a semester abroad in Japan. Creating a blog might not seem like the most original of ideas for someone in my shoes, but it seems like a good way to tell people what I am doing, since international calls are so damn expensive.
This is my second day in the country, and I am still thoroughly jetlagged. I will begin uploading photos after a number of my internet issues are resolved, and after I attend the Awa Odori festival this evening.
